The miniature sculpture, created in Murano using the traditional flame-working (a cannello) glass technique, represents the ancient parable of the elephant and the blind men. Six small figures stand beside the elephant, each touching only one part of its body — the trunk, the leg, the ear, or the tail — and each describing a different reality based on partial experience. The story suggests that no single point of view can fully describe the whole. Every fragment contains a portion of truth, yet only the coexistence of multiple perspectives allows a broader understanding to emerge. The elephant is not contained within one description alone, but in the relation between all of them. This parable is often used by theoretical physicists and philosophers of quantum mechanics to explain the limits of observation and the impossibility of accessing reality from a single absolute perspective. As in quantum physics, reality emerges through the coexistence of different relational views rather than through one fixed observation. The work proposes a multiplicity of simultaneous truths, where each perspective remains incomplete on its own, yet necessary for constructing the whole.
